Moses & Charlotte were both born in the state of Tennessee in the early 1800s. To their union 18 children were born, of which nine survived, but we only have knowledge of eight (8) known children:

Victoria, Mary, Rose, Florence, and Sallie’s family histories are unknown.
Abraham was born in 1854. Abraham had a son named Simon and a daughter named Henrietta. Simon was born in 1882 and Henrietta in 1883. Simon was the father of Emily Kimble of Bartow, Florida, and Millicent Dennis of Miami, Florida. Other children are unknown.
Judge was one of three sons of Moses and Charlotte Johnson. He was born in the state of Tennessee in the mid 1800’s. Judge was sold to a slave master in Jefferson County, Florida. In the late 1800’s Judge moved to Bradenton, FL and married Lillian who grew up in central Florida. Judge and Lillian had six children, five sons and one daughter. One of those sons was Herman Johnson Sr. (aka Henry) born January 10, 1910. Herman Sr. had eight children, four sons and four daughters. Their names were, Herman Jr. (aka Pete), Marian, Austin, Eddie, Doris, James, Carolyn, and Deloris

Moses was born in Tennessee in May 1855. He was later sold to a slave master in Jefferson County, Florida. In 1879, Moses, at age 24, married Elizabeth, known to most as Grandma Lizzie, who at that time was only 15 years old. Elizabeth was born in Jefferson County, Florida in May of 1864. Moses and Elizabeth had 14 children, of which only nine (9) are known of.

Richmond Johnson: born August 1883 was the eldest of the known children and the father of the following children: Son, the late Mose Johnson married the late Willie Mae Smith and they resided in Monticello, Florida. To this union were born two children, Rosa Lee Johnson Brown and the late Bessie Johnson {died in infancy}. Mose was given his wings in October 2000 at the ripe age of 94. Son, the late Wyman Johnson, Sr. passed in 1988 at the age of 91. Wyman Sr. was the father of Wyman, Jr., Evelyn Abner, Maxwell, Ernestine, Timothy, Marie and the late Pauline Beatrice Milton. Daughter, the late Laura Johnson Gilley, was affectionately known as “Plunk”. Laura was the mother of Emma White, Joseph, Geraldine Great, Melrose Hayes, Annie Presley, Harold, Raymond, Linda Pleasant, Essie, Harris, and the late Dan Gilley. Daughter, the late Lizzie Green was the mother of the late Elder Eddie Mae Price, David Green, King P. Green Sr., Mary Lee Larry, and Marie Green Jackson {all deceased}. Daughter, Mariah Henry was the mother of Gussie Clark, Juanita Cook, Reverend Gay Henry, Sondra Henry and one unknown deceased child. Daughter, Sara Williams was the mother of D.C. and R.J. Son, Richmond Jr. died early in life with no children or family.
Henry Johnson: was born in December 1885. Henry married Henrietta Green. To this union 17 children were born, of which three (3) are still alive: Reverend Walter Ed, Johnnie Mae, and Clara Barnhart. Children: Maple, Winchester, Lonnie Mae, Cellos, Emma, and Reverend Columbus Johnson are all deceased. The unmentioned eight children are deceased and their family history is unknown. Son, the late Columbus Johnson who passed in 2001, is credited as the organizer of the Johnson Family Reunion. Columbus married the late Amelia Hall and their children are: John Henry, Winchester, Robert, Jack, Walter, Vineva Payne, Lonnie Mae Lockett, Betty McFadden, Callie Thompson, Lynn Kelly, and an adopted son, Robert. Also, Columbus had three daughters, Henrieta, Dorthy L., and Betsy. Cellos was married to the late Clara Johnson and their children are Harold, Cellos, Jr., Claretha, Sharon, Lazarous, Teresa, Hettie, Columbus, Emma, and Linda {deceased}. Reverend Walter Ed and wife Leona are the parents of Wynell, Walter Jr. and Shelia. Daughter, Clara Barnhart has one child, Angela.
Robert Johnson: was born in June 1888. He was the father of the late Major Johnson, Ruth Gaines, and Joe.
Callie Johnson Randolph: was born in April 1890. She was the mother of Mary, Robertha Hines, and the late Henry, H.J., and Shellie Randolph. Daughter, Robertha is the mother of Carsey, Wanda Dixon and the late Collete Shockley. Daughter, Mary is the mother of Edward Harris. Many of her descendants reside in Winter Haven, Florida, and Cleveland, Ohio. Shellie & Henry, no known children. H.J. was the father of Lora Tarver, Brenda Rix, and Shirley Pettaway.
Timothy Johnson: was the father of Callie, Reverend Earl Daniel, Preston, Lottie, and one child who died an infant. His direct descendants reside in Sanford and Tampa, Florida.
Stegall Johnson: was born in July 1892. No known descendants.
Beulah Johnson Brown Vickers: was born in August 1895. She married York Brown and they were the parents of: Elizabeth McIntosh, affectionately called “Lizz” who is the oldest living of the Johnson legacy. Lizz resides in Fort Pierce, Florida. Beulah was also the mother of the late Mary Frances Morris, and the late Addison Brown, Sr. Addison was the father of Annis and Addison Brown, Jr.
Clara Johnson Ford: was born in January 1898. She was the mother of James, Isaac “Jack”, and the late Mamie and Kaiser Ford. Kaiser had one daughter. Clara’s direct descendants reside in Miami and Winter Haven, Florida.
Shellie Johnson: birthday unknown. He was the father of William “Duggie” and James “Tootsie.”
Moses and Charlotte gave birth to 14 children but the history of only nine (9) can be told today. We challenge you to find our unknown and lost family members and encourage them to become involved in the family reunion, so we can include their history in the Moses and Charlotte Johnson Family legacy.
